Every week, I like to post about something inspirational and motivational. I hope this helps people achieve their goals.
I like to think that if we spend more time focusing and talking about our blessings, instead of our problems, then the universe will continue to bless us with more blessings, and things to be grateful for. If you continue to talk about what is wrong in your life, then the universe is just going to continue to bring you more hardships. Whatever you send out into the universe is going to come back to you, multiplied. Whatever you spend your most time talking about is going to come back to you, so you may as well talk about your blessings.
Tom Parker of the band, The Wanted, has disclosed that he has been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour. I am absolutely devastated for him and his family. I love The Wanted. For those who may not know, but they are a British-Irish boy band.
I feel really sad for Tom Parker and his family since he is only 32 years old. His wife is pregnant with their second child.
I remember that my best friend and I used to listen to The Wanted and have a mini dance party listening to them. It was a lot of fun. But to summarize things, life got complicated and we ended up going in different directions without one another. We do on the occasion still keep in touch. Although not as much as we used to, and that’s okay. I still feel very blessed to be friends with this amazing person. We live in different cities, and things are different now, but I hope that our paths can cross again, soon. May this song help everyone realize that life is too short, to be anything but happy. I hope this song encourages us to take chances, like go to talk to that friend you have been meaning to message, quit that job, and try something new. Life is too short to be ordinary, go out there, and be extraordinary!
I will always love this song. I feel for Tom Parker and his family. I’ll keep him my thoughts and hope that he is strong enough to accomplish all that he wishes to. This song will remind me to not take life so seriously, but to enjoy everything and everyone. Never take anything or anyone for granted, because you never know when you will see someone again. All we ever have is this present moment. Another thing that this song teaches me is that everyone can enter your life, and can only stay there for a season. And when they leave, your universe is never the same again. Learn to enjoy the little things in life.
“The sun goes down The stars come out And all that counts Is here and now My universe will never be the same I’m glad you came”
It’s another Eckhart Tolle Friday to get the weekend started with wisdom and enlightenment.
“Whatever you think the world is withholding from you, you are withholding from the world.”
I really enjoyed this quote because it reminded me to think positively about myself and the things I want in life. This quote I feel, is talking about how we might think that the world may be withholding a positive affirmation from allowing us to feel a certain way. Perhaps you are feeling like the world is pressing down on you and wondering to the universe why you aren’t happy, instead of focusing on the reasons why you can be happy.
I like to believe that whatever you are thinking, you are subconsciously sending out to the universe. So if you want to be happy, you just begin training your mind to simply be happy. The universe gives you what you send out. So don’t ever think that the world is withholding anything from you. All you have to do is change your perception and attitude.
I really enjoy how insightful Eckhart Tolle’s book is. I enjoy reading it. Mindfulness is something I am practicing. I don’t want to have to worry about the past that is already over, and I don’t want to be anxious about my future because it isn’t here yet. The now is where I want to be.
“One of the main tasks of the mind is to fight or remove the emotional pain, which is one of the reasons for its incessant activity, but all it can ever achieve is to cover it up temporarily. In fact, the harder the mind struggles to get rid of the pain, the greater the pain.”
-Eckhart Tolle, Power of Now, page 28
When I was reading this, I related to it instantly. I remember trying to think of ways to remove the pain of something I was either thinking or feeling. It really was like the more I tried to forget about the pain, it felt like the pain was growing bigger. What I had to do, was just lay there and not concrete on the pain, but allow the pain to teach me what I needed to learn. Everything that you go through, teaches you what you are meant to know. The universe is always right. Learn to trust it.
