Day 17

Life can come at us fast, so it’s important for us to take things one day at a day. It’s necessary for us to slow down. Learn to be in the moment. You don’t have to accomplish 500 things in a day to feel accomplished. Learn to feel accomplished by completing three tasks.

Learn to do things as they come to you. Life is almost like laundry, once the washing machine stops, you put the clothes in the dryer. You just have to take life as it comes. There is no need to rush life, or the need to know everything all at once. Life is lived one day at a time for reason. So don’t feel bad if you don’t know what to do next. Give yourself some time to figure what to do next.

I did not always believe in this, about how I should learn to take life slowly, and how I should live one day at a time until a few years ago. And ever since then, I noticed I was able to relax more because I wasn’t stressing out about things months away. I learned that sometimes it’s okay to not know everything at once. Whatever you are meant to know, will come to you when you need to know something. There is no reason to stress.

Today, I will accept that life is meant to be lived one day at a time, so I should only focus on things that are relevant for the day. By focusing my time and energy on today, I will be able to relax more instead of worrying about my tomorrows, and more tomorrows after that.

Take A Bath

It’s another addition of Feel Good Friday. The purpose of these posts, is these are short and effortless ideas to help you feel better, and improve your overall health.

I’m not sure if many of you remember hating a bath when you were a child, maybe you still hate them now. But if you don’t, I suggest taking one. I find them fairly relaxing. I sometimes bring in candles with me, and a book, sometimes I like to put on relaxing spa music.

Today is the perfect day for a bubble bath since it’s National Take A Bubble Bath Day.

I love ending my days in the bath tub, sometimes I think I was a fish in a past life or something.

Holidaze

How to clean up from Christmas. Every year we find ourselves all stressed out, in a mess from all of the extra stuff we got. And sometimes, not to sound ungrateful, we don’t need all of these things.

But here are some simple solutions to help you out. Although some of these tips would have been helpful last week. But that’s okay, we can still fix this. And some of these tips help out with every day lives.

These tasks may seem daunting at first, but it really shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes, which is probably the length of your TV show.

Clean Your House as Much as You Can Before Leaving

Whenever you leave the house to go to a family gathering, especially those where you know you will be accepting gifts.

Sort Each Gift Bag

Once you come back from the event, you can bring to go through each bag. Perhaps you have gotten a duplicate, you can always give it back to another person, where you know they would appreciate it, too. Although please don’t give it back to the person who originally got it for you. Or perhaps you don’t like a gift. You can always donate it, too.

Assign a Home For Every Object

Keep like items together. Put books on the bookshelf, or on a coffee table, or a desk, because maybe you want to read it right away.

Sweep and Mop

Once you have finished a good sweep and mop will be a good idea. Or even a vacuum for all of the glitter from the gift bags.

Relax

Sit back and relax, reward yourself with a book, or a TV show.

Advent Calendar of Kindness 2020 Day 6

It’s another day, so let’s do another feel good challenge. Today let’s work on taking care of yourself, so we can take care of others.

Today is Self Care Sunday. Let’s take care of our souls. You should do something that is going to make you happy. I don’t know what makes everyone happy, but for me, it’s taking a bubble bath, with some candles. Another one of my favourite is reading with a cup of tea, curled up under a blanket. Or watching my favourite show. Or going for a walk, especially right now that people have their Christmas lights on.

Do something that is going to make you happy and relaxed. Today, I plan on watching football. It’s going to be a lot of fun. I enjoy watching football. Although it isn’t as fun since my team isn’t playing. My team plays on Monday. I’m super excited for it.

Relax

In this edition of Feel Good Friday, I am encouraging everyone to spend some time relaxing. It is important to schedule in some time throughout the week to unwind.

If it’s possible you should spend the last 15 to 20 minutes of your day dedicating time for you to relax. Whether it is you writing in a journal, reading, meditating, practicing yoga, etc. Being able to spend time forgetting about your stresses and worries, is so beneficial to your mind and body.

It is a good feeling to just not think about your stresses. Don’t complicate it, you can simply unwind by watching your show, having a bubble bath. Your mind and body will thank you for it.

If you don’t make the time to relax or unwind, your body will pick a time for you. Trust me, it is better for you to pick the time to relax instead of your body.

Thankful Thursday #20

This is one of my favourite posts to write because I get to talk about what I am thankful for during this week. I hope you find something you are grateful for, as well.

It is really important and beneficial to spend some time thinking of what you are truly thankful for.

Here is my list of what I am thankful for.

  1. As I previously written, I am extremely grateful for all of my followers and supporters. I have surpassed a huge milestone of 500 followers. It is a wonderful feeling. I am proud of myself.
  2. I got to hang out with my niece, sister, and my mom for a bit. It was a lot of fun. We took my niece to the park since we had a nice sunny day. My niece had a lot of fun.
  3. I got to spend a lot of time to relax throughout the week by reading, and watching my shows.
  4. I am grateful to have some nice weather earlier in the week. It made it great to walk around my neighbourhood.
  5. I am grateful for being able to spend a lot of time with my boyfriend, just being able to relax and not think about any stress.

Master the Day

Here’s your weekly positive quote.

“You’re not going to master the rest of your life in one day. Just relax. Master the day. Then just keep doing that every day.”

-Unknown

What I like about this quote is that it remind me not to worry about everything. It’s okay to not have everything figured out in our lives. Learn to take things one day at a time. There is no reason to try and figure everything out in one afternoon. Learn to live for today, and do that again tomorrow. Stay calm and relax.
