Feeling Off

Hey everyone, sorry that I haven’t been on much during the weekend. I just wasn’t feeling like myself and some stuff to sort through. I’m doing alright and that my family and myself are doing okay.

I just took some time for myself. I’m sure everyone has some days where we aren’t feeling like ourselves. We just got to take some time out to be reset and making ourselves a priority, again.

It was an emotional weekend, for sure. But a reminder to make self care necessary.

Financial Goals

So, first before we start thinking about our financial goals, it’s important to see where and how much debt we have. And I know it’s scary to actually see this number. Once, you get better picture, the easier things will be for us to make these changes in our lives.

In case you missed out on my blog post from two weeks ago, called Statement of Net Work, https://threeyellowdaisies.ca/2020/07/27/statement-of-net-worth/ I began asking you to write down in a journal or in a personal document what you owe and own. If you are stuck, here’s a list of ideas of what to include;

  • Credit cards
  • Overdraft (not the amount available, the amount you owe)
  • Students loans
  • Line of credit
  • Other loans
  • Money you owe family and friends
  • Mortgage(s)

Once you have an understanding of how much you owe, you can then begin working towards paying down your debts.

For some, they might choose to start paying down the one with the highest interest, others may decide on paying their lowest debt, to just get rid of it.

Personally, I feel like it’s best to make payments on the smallest debt first. Because when you start making payments on one debt, you’re building momentum to continue paying off the rest of your debt.

It’s important to continue making payments on your other debts, too. But try to begin setting aside extra money every month for your smaller debt, to help build your momentum.

Once you have decided on which debt you plan on focusing on, you can begin to make goals for yourself with how you are going to set aside your money.

Perhaps your goals, aside from being debt free, are…

  • Build an emergency fund
  • Save up money for a vacation (with family, or significant other)
  • Buy a car

Of course, many of these things are take time, but once you start thinking of these goals, use this as motivation to pay off your debts.

Weekly Quote

Here’s some more positive vibes for this week!

I know that one of my goals for August is to reset and build better habits. I hope that everyone has at least one goal to work on or towards for this month.

I also hope this quote helps everyone. Something that I have learned is if you act like everything is important, than nothing is, because every thing can’t be important at once.

Make A List

I didn’t make a list of my priorities instead I was just rolling with what I felt like doing. I tried my best but I have been doing a lot more exercises than I have lately so that tired me out. I felt like I didn’t do what I should have done. This is because I didn’t make a list of everything I needed. I feel stressed because now I’m uncertain if I have time to do everything I wish to do.

Today, I will make a list of everything that needs to get done and rank them from most important to least important. This will be helpful and less stressful.

Don’t Waste Time

I know this may come across as ironic – writing a blog about not wasting time so I’m going to keep this short and simple.

I set goals for myself to get certain things done but some days I just can’t or I am too tired. I have come to realize that wasted time does add up. I am working really hard to to cease this bad habit of mine.

Today, I will dedicate and use my time wisely, no more stalling to achieve what I wish for.

Decluttering Day Four

I got rid of four t-shirts. Although I was planning on decluttering all at once instead of a little bit everyday. I am a believer that you can accomplish a lot by doing a little every day. I think it is easier to declutter a room one at a time. I’ve been trying to find time to do so.

One Thing – A To-Do List

Tomorrow is a day where I get to chill and reorganize my life. As of lately I have been on the go and haven’t been putting my priorities first. I’m really excited to focus on my room and house. I finally get the chance to catch up with the cleaning. Especially since the weekend is approaching which means I get to spend quality time with my boyfriend. ❤

I prepared a to-do list with everything I wish to complete. I will remain focus to improving myself which I am really excited about.

Priorities

At times I can be really bad at managing my time and priorities. I have so much on the go right now. I have a tendency of wasting time. I think maybe if I did this then my inspiration will come so I would put off certain tasks because of that. This only leads me to rush things and it could have been so much better.

Tomorrow I will try my best to not waste any time.

One of the quotes that is helpful is; “First things first.” and “Easy does it” and “Keep it simple.” These are helping me by not trying to complicate things. I need to keep repeating these to myself in times of stress and wasting time.
