Ceremonial Matcha

Every Tuesday, I like to dedicate a post to Tea Tuesdays. I love tea, so I enjoy writing and sharing photos with everyone about my tea obsession.

Today, my boyfriend and I had Ceremonial Matcha, which was one of our Christmas presents from last year. It was an interesting matcha. This one is more of a natural matcha, and as of lately, we have been enjoying flavoured matcha, so it ta\sted a bit bitter for my liking. I think I am going to have the rest, by mixing it in my flavoured matcha.

My boyfriend and I had this a hot latte, with our matching mugs. Well, same design, but different colour mugs. Mine is the pink, and his is green. These are our matcha mugs.

Matcha is super healthy for you, since it comes from a whole green leaf, so you get more antioxidants from the leaves. It is finely grinded green leaves that is made up of a powder from Japan.

Sleep

It’s Friday, so that means it’s time for another post of Feel Good Friday. This post is meant to help us feel better about ourselves in small, easy ways. I’m not asking us to make drastic changes about ourselves. But if we start small, we are able to change so much, and become even more happier.

We must ensure that we give our bodies adequate rest every night. When our phones are about to run out of battery, we don’t expect them to go into overtime, and keep on working past their limits. We simply recharge them, and let them regain their strength. But when it comes to us, we push ourselves into overdrive. We expect so much from ourselves. Even without recharging our batteries.

If you need to continue working on a daunting task, but you are exhausted already, perhaps you can take a 20 minute nap before you jump into the task at a hand. Taking a 20 minute nap will do wonders. It will help you focus again when you wake up. It will allow you to be refreshed, and you won’t feel overtried from taking the 20 minute nap.

Perhaps after your nap, you can make yourself a cup of matcha tea, depending on what time it is, because you don’t want to have that much caffeine that close to bedtime.

Just continue on making sure your body gets enough rest throughout the night. Sleep is really important. It’s one of the most important ways to ensure you work on having a healthy lifestyle.

Candy Cane Matcha Iced Latte

Here is another post for Tea Tuesdays.

My sister-in-law bought my boyfriend and I this cool matcha kit for Christmas. It comes with the whisk, and a bowl to whisk the powder. We already have a bowl, and whisk set, but I am still happy that we have another. Now my boyfriend and I can make our own matcha together. She also got us a set of four stackable mugs, which are really cool. I’ll for sure post photos in an upcoming post.

Here is our matcha bowl.

The matcha tea I picked was Candy Cane, which shockingly I haven’t had any this whole season yet. I was saving it since I didn’t have much left.

First thing I did was I began boiling the kettle. While the kettle was boiling, I measured my matcha powder into the bowl.

I added some ice cubes to my mug. I used my cozy sweater mug, because that one is my favourite one.

Next, I poured the boiling water over the powder to form a liquid.

I began whisking the liquid to ensure everything dissolved properly.

Whilst I was whisking to make it frothy, I let my eggnog frothed in my milk frother.

Once finished, I poured my matcha tea over the ice cubes, topped off with my frothed eggnog.

It was delicious! 🙂

Iced Peach Matcha Latte – Tea Tuesday

Hey everyone! Welcome to another addition of Tea Tuesday. Today, I decided to have an iced peach matcha latte.

My sister bought my boyfriend and myself somewhat matching mugs last Christmas. I love tea and Disney, so it was the perfect gift.

First put the ice in the mugs.
I put in five scoops of peach matcha into my matcha bowl, and then I began whisking it after adding boiling water to make it liquid.
Then pour the matcha over ice, while the milk is frothing.
I got thirsty and took a few sips, before I remembered/realized I didn’t capture the moment of the frothed milk.

Tea Tuesdays – Raspberry Matcha Iced Latte

Matcha tea is powdered green tea. It is actually from a whole green tea leaf, so you get all of the extra benefits of green tea.

This is what the matcha powder looks like. Prepare to boil the water while you portion your matcha.
When the water boils, pour it in the bowl.
Using a whisker, bring whisking the liquid in W and M motions to create an even blend. I didn’t realize my giraffe slipper was in the shot. LOL!
Next fill your mug with ice and pour the matcha mixture into your mug of desire.

Pour frothed milk over the matcha mixture.

Viola!

Iced Blueberry Matcha Latte

Matcha is amazing! It is finely powdered green leaves, so it comes as a powder.

When the water is boiling, you need to portion it in your matcha bowl.
Next, place ice cubes in your mug of choice.
Then add boiling water and whisk it, insuring that the powder has dissolved.

Froth the milk

Top it off with your frothed milk
