Day 157 of 193

My Grandma knows I like butterflies. I like them because they remind that sometimes in order to make your transformation into to something beautiful, you have to go through a series of darkness. My Grandma gave me a mat for the shower that is supposed to prevent slips and falls. I don’t need to worry about that right now. I don’t know, but I have always found it to be a hassle moving around when cleaning the tub. That’s just me, though.

My cousin also likes butterflies, so I am going to offer this to her, and if she doesn’t like, I’m going to give it to my mom.

Thankful Thursdays #12

Hey everyone!

It always feel like these days keep on going by so fast.

Here is a list of things that has happened to me throughout the week that has made me grateful.

  1. I am thankful that my football team won against my second cousin’s team. Not only did I get to brag about my team winning, but I also got bragging towards her for beating her team
  2. I am grateful that there were many great sales at the grocery store. I not only saved a lot of money, but I was able to buy delicious ingredients for my dinners.
  3. My sister bought me a few groceries when she was doing her own shopping, so that was cool.
  4. I am glad my mom gave me two of her French onion soup bowls. They are oven safe. You are supposed to serve the soup in these bowls, and grate cheese on top of the soup, then you broil it in the oven, and all of the cheese melts perfectly. I can’t wait to use those.
  5. And lastly I am grateful for being able to spend more time throughout my day reading my books.

What are some of the things you are grateful that happened this week?

Day 74 of 193

This is Friday’s item.

I was with m sister and my niece on Friday and had an eventful weekend, so here I am catching up.

I am still going through my lotion drawer, and I have decided to part ways with a lotion. I decided to give it to my cousin. I just have too much of it.

Day 61 of 193

This item is from Saturday, as I have fallen behind in my blog posts.

I had decided to give my cousin my old college lanyard that I got at one of the open houses. I ended up getting a new one on my first day, two years ago. I like this one better because it actually has my speciality on it, instead of the name of the college, I attend.

Although, I am not in school at the moment, I have completed a year of accounting. I do plan on going back and finish in about two, maybe three years or so. I just would like to move out in to a new apartment with my boyfriend, and I can’t do that until we pay down our debts first. Right now, we are living with one of his friend’s and his family. I find living with other people while studying to be distracting. That’s just me, though.

For those who might be worried, I will definitely go back to school.

I hope this lanyard provides my cousin with confidence and help her believe in herself.

Digital Declutter: I uninstalled seven apps I no longer use. That makes me so happy.

Thankful Thursdays #5

I had an eventful week, so there is a lot to thankful for.

  1. I am thankful because I got to hang out with my cousin on Tuesday. We picked up a box of pizza from a local store, and brought it with us to a nearby park for a picnic. It was a joyous time. It was the first time we had hung out in a really long time since we have been in quarantine and social distancing. And I am also hanging out in her backyard at the moment.
  2. I recently just received my tea order, after what seemed like awhile.
  3. In the tea order, I received tea I haven’t even tried yet. I have received a new traveler mug, because it’s in my favourite colour.
  4. I saw my dentist after having my fixed my chipped tooth, from my car accident, eight months ago.
  5. When my cousin was walking me to my bus stop, we saw this beautiful fountain in her neighbourhood.

Day 22 of 193

I just realized that I hadn’t given this to my cousin yet. This was a pin on my backpack, the one I used to take with me to work, but I took a leave for a bit. And then it dawned on me that since I had returned back to work, I hadn’t given this to her yet.

So I hope her and I can hang out soon, so she can have it. She told me that she liked it, and I already have enough pins on my backpack, that I would be okay to depart with this one. I know that this makes my cousin happy, so it makes me happy for her to have it. I’m going to set this aside until the next time her and I hang out again.

Day Three

Today we are going to talk about expressing gratitude towards a family or friend. Take some time to really think about this person and write them a letter or an email or give them a call to let them how grateful you are to have them in your life. And also, what they do for you. Perhaps it’s because they always think of you or ask you if you are okay, or they make you laugh, or they bring you soup when you are sick.

For me, my person is my cousin. I am grateful because we can always talk to one another. We have so much fun during our hangouts. We address our concerns and help brainstorm alternatives. I told her how much I appreciate her via email, since I couldn’t tell her in person, since the whole coronavirus lockdown.

Feel free to post who you appreciate and why in the comments.
