Just Checking In

Hi everyone!

For the sake of my Happiness Project, I ended up changing the date of my publication date on my previous blog posts. That way all of March Happiness Project’s resolutions and goals can be found in March, and not scattered through March, April and May. Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

I apologize for being so busy these past two months. I’m not sure if you have heard, but my Grandpa passed away two months ago. It has been the most challenging, and heartbreaking past few weeks. I feel like I’ve been going through a lot. He was the closest person I have ever lost. He was my best friend.

I have been trying to get all caught up with everything on here. But at the same time it feels like everyone wants my attention, and needs my help. I know I should put myself first, and my desires first. But at the same time, I always struggle to say no. But I do all of these things for my niece’s sake, and her benefit.

There are days where my sister and her boyfriend need me to watch my niece. And some days, I feel like drained by my other obligations, but I say yes, so I can see my niece, and spend time with her.

I am slowly starting to work towards things I want to do for myself, and things that would make me happy. I guess I just feel drained because there is so many things I want to do, and work towards, but I have falling a bit behind. I am now finding down time to get things done.

I made a list of some of the things that I need and want to get done. This has been so helpful, because I don’t have to get a mental note out of everything that I would like to get done. And now that I have a better visual of what needs to get done. I can see how to spend my time more wisely. This will help me stay motivated and on track of achieving everything I set out for myself.

I can’t wait to get all caught up again. I appreciate the love and support from everyone. Please continue to send me positive messages, and support. My goal is get caught up with things by June, if I can. I am determined to work through a lot on my To-Do List. I can’t wait to hear from all of you again. ❤

Road Less Travelled – Lauren Alaina

I love this song so much! I figured it is the perfect song for 2021. It’s all about trusting yourself, and the universe by doing something you wouldn’t normally do. I sort of did this year. I quit my job because I didn’t feel comfortable with the whole coronavirus pandemic, so I decided to focus on my blog, and pursue thinking of a cool idea for my novels. In hope that one day I become a bestselling author, blogger. For the most part I feel proud of myself. And I feel very fortunate enough that my boyfriend is still working for us.

I hope that this is the year we trust ourselves and the universe even more. I know that it is scary, but I think things will get better. We just have to keep the faith that they will improve.

Daily Affirmations and Life Lessons Introduction

Hey, everyone! I woke up with this inspiration that I should write about daily affirmations and or life lessons that I have learned throughout my life. I figured that will help other people with whatever they may be going through.

Back when I first began my blog, that was one of my ideas of writing about things that I have learned that day, whether it be something I had learned from work, or just having time to myself. I am excited to do this again.

I first began my blog six years ago in May. All of my coworkers saw that I was always positive, and happy a lot. I had always had something positive to say, and I gave good advice whenever they needed it. I am very proud of myself for starting this blog. Back then I thought I was popular with getting one hundred views in a month, and now that is how many in a day. I had no idea the power my words and ideas I have on others. I am so proud of myself for all of the work that I have been into this blog.

It’s almost like if someone told me how popular my blog would have been when I first started, I don’t think I would have believed it.

Back then I blogged for a year straight, and then I unintentionally took four years off. I was just thinking about my blog just before my birthday (last year), although I had some trouble with remembering my passwords, so it took me a few days to get everything situated. I am so happy I did.

My goal is to be a low key famous blogger, who writes books about all sorts of ideas and genres.

I love being able to help others, and provide others with advice. So being able to write out daily affirmations, and talk about the things I have learned with others, I think that will be extremely helpful.

After such a difficult year, we need more positive vibes to motivate and cheer us on. I like to think that our words have the power to heal to others, and that we shouldn’t be saying anything bad to others. We have the power to make people feel better about themselves. Always remember that.

Thankful Thursdays #24 – December 10th, 2020

It’s hard to believe that I have been doing this for six months now. I feel like this activity has benefited me in more ways than one. I encourage everyone to express gratitude at least once a week. You don’t have to write it down, or type it out, even just thinking or talking about what you are grateful is helpful, too.

Every Thursday, I write about what I am thankful for.

Here is a list of the things I am thankful for this week.

  1. I am happy and appreciate the love and kindness from my followers by liking my posts, and having conversation throughout the comment section. I have gained another 100 followers in three and a half weeks, and I am now over 600 followers. I had no idea I was going to have this many followers when I first started out.
  2. My boyfriend and I have stopped having take out for a bit. That way we can save some more money, and eat more healthier. We have had a lot of delicious home cooked meals this week. I love cooking, so that makes me happy.
  3. I got to see my sister and niece today. She is part of my bubble, and our boyfriends work together, so it’s okay for us to see each other. We had a lot of fun together. My niece got her bangs cut, just beforehand. She looks extra cute.
  4. I got my last container from my sister’s house. I am so excited, because now I can finally go through my belongings. It makes me really proud of myself. I’ll be working through that this weekend.
  5. I got to play with my niece earlier tonight, she was showing me all of her toys in her room while my sister was making us dinner.

December Goals

So I am pretty exciting for a new month, as it means new goals that I get to think of for myself. I have already thought of goals that I would try out this month.

My boyfriend and I are going to go to work towards spending less money on luxurious items, in order to save some, and put towards paying off more of our debts. Which will be really amazing. I am look forward to that.

I have already thought of an idea that I think would make for a good novel, perhaps. I know I’m a bit late, but every November, writers are encouraged to write a novel in those 30 days. I plan on doing that, but I plan on doing that in January since I was a bit busy in November. Then once I complete it, I am going to read it and edit it, so hopefully I’ll be able to share that with you sometime in February. They say the average book has about 50,000 words, so it works out to be 1,667 words a day. Especially you are just focusing on writing your idea, and then after that you spend time dedicating to the editing process.

I would like to make more trying new recipes, because that sounds like a lot of fun.

I am also working on ideas of how I can make 2021 the best year ever! More to come with that idea.

I will also keep on blogging daily, which is always a lot of fun. I can’t’ wait to find out what your December goals are.

Day 156 of 192

This is Wednesday’s item.

This is an old day planner from 2015. I came across it in one of my containers that I had stored at my sister’s house. I looked through to it to read about it. I liked that it had these stickers for birthdays, and appointments, so I kept that in case I bought myself a calendar, or if I get one for Christmas.

It was fun reading it, because at the time I first started dating my boyfriend, so it was a nice reminder of looking back at the past.

But other than that it didn’t really have much of a purpose anymore. This was where I decided to name my tag after. When I was first made my blog five years ago, this was next to me.

Thankful Thursday #20

This is one of my favourite posts to write because I get to talk about what I am thankful for during this week. I hope you find something you are grateful for, as well.

It is really important and beneficial to spend some time thinking of what you are truly thankful for.

Here is my list of what I am thankful for.

  1. As I previously written, I am extremely grateful for all of my followers and supporters. I have surpassed a huge milestone of 500 followers. It is a wonderful feeling. I am proud of myself.
  2. I got to hang out with my niece, sister, and my mom for a bit. It was a lot of fun. We took my niece to the park since we had a nice sunny day. My niece had a lot of fun.
  3. I got to spend a lot of time to relax throughout the week by reading, and watching my shows.
  4. I am grateful to have some nice weather earlier in the week. It made it great to walk around my neighbourhood.
  5. I am grateful for being able to spend a lot of time with my boyfriend, just being able to relax and not think about any stress.

Forever Grateful

On Thursday, when I was on my way to baby sit my niece, I received this notification, which I have been secretly waiting for. The notification of reaching 500 followers. It is an amazing feeling knowing that I have inspired so many people.

I felt so much gratitude and love. Thank you so much for those of you who like, comment my posts. Your kind words mean more than you know.
