Day 45

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Valentine’s Day. I had a decent day, despite the fight before Valentine’s Day. Things got better between my boyfriend and I.

It’s important that we continue to show each other love and respect, not just because a holiday tells us to, but because that is what we feel in our hearts. Remember to show love to those that we care about the most. Some ways that we can demonstrate our love to others is by writing a letter, making dinner, reading that person a story, telling them a joke. There are so many ways where you don’t have to spend money to show your appreciation to others. It’s also part of my February resolutions of my Happiness Project, to show and give tokens of love.

Let’s not wait around for a holiday to tell each other how much we adore them. We can do that any day, and we don’t have to spend a fortune either.

Today, I will make a promise to express love and appreciation to the ones I love, no matter what. It doesn’t have to be some extravagant expensive gesture either.

Thankful Thursdays #32 – February 4th, 2021

Each week, I like to think and appreciate what I am thankful for throughout the week. I encourage everyone to do the same. You don’t have to write it, or type it out, but it does help, but stop stopping whatever you are focusing on, you can take a pause to think about what you are thankful for during the week.

Here is my list.

  1. I am happy that my mom’s move went well. She is slowly starting to settle in her new place. I am happy for her.
  2. I am grateful that my mom bought me some lunch the other day, that was really nice of her.
  3. I have been slowly making time to jot some ideas down for my stories. I am really excited to start writing again. I have been brainstorming some cool ideas, so I am going to bring back Writing Wednesdays again! I normally write a short story, or a chapter of something I am working on.
  4. I am thankful for the continued love and support I am receiving from my all of my followers. Keep up with the amazing support. It makes me so happy that I can inspire so many people.
  5. I am glad that there were a few days where the weather was nice, which made it really enjoyable to go for a walk. I try to go out as often as I can.

Let me know what you are grateful for in the comments. 🙂

Reached My Goal For 2020

I am so happy and proud of myself!

A few months ago, I wanted to have 15,000 views as my yearly total of views. And I am so happy to report that I have reached my goal! Thank you so much for all of the love, likes, comments, and positive words. It means more than anyone will ever know.

Please continue showing your love for me and for my blog in the following year. Cheers!

Advent Calendar of Kindness 2020 Day 21

I have really enjoyed writing about this topic of kindness, and how much joy we can spread to each other. It is a lot more positive than just spending money, making us go in debt.

Today’s challenge is to let someone know that they have changed your life, or has inspired you to do better. It can be written as a letter, email, or text message, or you can call up this person and let them how much of an impact they had on your life. I’m sure this person would love to hear that they had such an inspiring impact on your life.

Advent Calendar of Kindness 2020 Day 16

Instead of stressing out about Christmas shopping, and wrapping everyone’s presents, let’s normalize hand-me-downs, gifts of love, or even no gifts. We shouldn’t have to go into debt telling people how much we love them.

Write a letter to your postal carrier, and let them know how much you have appreciated and how grateful you are for their services this year. I hope this year, people change their perspective on a postal carrier’s duties, since a lot of them delivered our parcels, which saved us from going to out to crowded malls. Or if you were in lockdown at sometime throughout the year, and the only way we could have gotten something we needed was to order it online.

You can leave this letter in your mail box, just be sure to write the words, Postal Carrier, or if you know their name, you can write that on your envelope. My Dad is a letter carrier, and a long time ago, one of the houses he delivered to, gave him a box of chocolates, and one of her Porcelain dolls to give to me. I loved it so much, that I still have it to this day.

Day 10 of 192

I love doing this challenge. I find it really freeing and it’s allowing me to ease in to the whole decluttering mission at a steady pace. I have tried to declutter so many times before, but I felt like I was getting stuck and couldn’t overcome the emotional attachment of things, like clothes. I still have a ton of clothes from years ago, so some of these clothes are too hard to let go.

So that’s where I came up with this whole idea of one item a day, which has been helping me. Like a lot. Because I can discard things slowly and really appreciate the transformation.

Like this shirt was a bit of a challenge to get rid of because I remember wearing it the first time I hung out with one of my friends. What made it difficult was that we don’t really hang out or talk much, we live in different cities now.

Even though this shirt feels a bit snug on me, it was still challenging to get rid of by donating it to someone else. And that’s okay, because than it means that someone else can find just as much joy as I did. And that is what makes this journey so joyous, because you’re getting rid of things so someone can enjoy these things, too. When you own less things that’s whenyou can truly appreciate what you have.

Day Twenty-One

Hi all,

Today is the final day of the 21 Day Challenge. Thank you so much for everyone being a part of this journey. I am so thankful for each and one of you to participate in this journey with me.

Let’s learn to appreciate movies. Who doesn’t enjoy a good movie with some people? They help us create and strengthen our bonds with friends and loved ones. They make us laugh and cry. Some movies even help us learn something. And learning is amazing!

There is so much work that goes into making a movie. We should all value the work and thought that goes into making a movie. In order to express our gratitude, we shall watch a movie, whether it be our favourite movie or something we haven’t seen before, be sure to express your gratitude!

Remember expressing gratitude changes everything.

(¸.•´(¸.•´ (¸.•¨¯`* ♥ The Rules …

  1. Thank and link the person who nominated + answer the questions given by the nominator
  2. Nominate 11 blogs that have less than 200 followers
  3. Create 11 new questions for the nominees to answer + notify them by social media
My Answers to Your Questions:
  1. Which one of the 4 seasonings is your favorite? Salt, pepper, ketchup or mayo

I prefer mayo because I use mayo on my burgers and my corn – it’s a Spanish thing. My boyfriend introduced me to that. You can also add Parmesan cheese and hot sauce to it. It’s so good!

2. If you win the grand prize for the lottery, what will you do with the money?

I would invest some of the money and then my boyfriend and I would move out into our first house. I would give our families money so they can buy a new place as well. I would go clothes shopping as well as some new furniture and wall art and such for our new place.

3. (Continued from the question above) Are you OK to be photographed on the newspaper with the prize you win? If not, what kind of crazy mask or costume will you wear?

I would feel comfortable with my photo being taken. But I would have to find the perfect red lip stick to compliment my outfit.

4. Which movie genre is your favorite?

I love romantic comedies but I also enjoy animated films like Aladdin and Finding Nemo. I am looking forward to Finding Dory. I love Dory.

5. Which music genre do you enjoy the most?

I love alternative like Coldplay, Lana Del Rey but I also like Beyonce and USS. I have a wide range of music. I like a lot of different genres it just depends on what kind of mood I am in.

6. If you can own any type of pet, what’s the craziest pet you can think of to own? (It can even be a dinosaur, if you like 🙂

My favourite animals are giraffes. They would be a lot of fun to have. I remember meeting one of my boyfriend’s friend and he asked me if I liked pets and I replied with; “I like giraffes.”

7. Which character on Post a Book is most interesting to you? Why? 🙂

To be honest, I haven’t gotten a chance to read this blog so I can’t say at the moment. I will be sure to read it and provide my answer.

8. If you see a real hundred dollar bill stuck to a lamp post, what’s the first thing you will do?

I would grab it and then treat my boyfriend and I to a cheesecake – cherry cheesecake because cherry is the best. We would also have a hot beverage. Then I would invest in some.

9. You just won an award of your dream, who’s the first person you will thank in your acceptance speech?

My boyfriend!

10. If you can own a vacation home of your dream, where will it be? (It doesn’t have to be by the beach, for example)

I would love to travel to Nairobi, Kenya! It is dream honeymoon so I would be travelling with my boyfriend who will be my future husband one week. Hopefully we are able to stay for a week. It is the only hotel in the world where you can feed giraffes breakfast from the hotel dining room! I always wanted to go there. In fact I would love to start saving for that now.

11. If your house can be built out of any material, what kinds of material will you use? (Please don’t restrict it to gingerbread houses)

I would love for my house to built out of cobblestone. It is so pretty.

Letting Go

Last week I was sick so I forgot that I didn’t post anything for Buddy Wakefield Wednesday. I apologize for not remembering so here are two posts to make up for it.

“This is an apology letter to the both of us for how long it took me to let things go.”

I love this quote! It describes a time of my sadness. There were many times where I struggled to let go of a dying friendship and to accept that things were never able to go back to the way they were. It took me a long time to accept this fact but after accepting that truth, it is okay that my friendship ended. It was a difficult to accept and move on. But after many months I was able to move on with my head held high. A lot of things went wrong and I am sorry that things ended for the way they did.

There are times where I think of you and wonder if you are okay. But I am okay that we are no longer friends anymore. It taught me a lot of things that I needed to learn like acceptance of others and that you can’t mold someone into someone that they are not.

It was for the best. I realized that friendship happened for a reason and I am forever grateful for that friendship. If it wasn’t for that friendship I wouldn’t have met my boyfriend and I adore him to pieces. ❤
