Day 156 of 193

This is Wednesday’s item.

This is an old day planner from 2015. I came across it in one of my containers that I had stored at my sister’s house. I looked through to it to read about it. I liked that it had these stickers for birthdays, and appointments, so I kept that in case I bought myself a calendar, or if I get one for Christmas.

It was fun reading it, because at the time I first started dating my boyfriend, so it was a nice reminder of looking back at the past.

But other than that it didn’t really have much of a purpose anymore. This was where I decided to name my tag after. When I was first made my blog five years ago, this was next to me.

Goodreads Mondays #6 – November 23rd, 2020

This is a post about us discussing one of the books in our To Be Read List and talking about why we would like to read it. I would love to know what is your favourite genre, and what books are on your To Be Read List.

I saw this book on Goodreads, as a book that other liked, based on some of the thrillers I have been reading lately. I saw it and I placed a hold at my local library. I am really excited to read it soon.

It is about this family who leaves their town and past behind them to have a fresh start. They ended up buying a rumoured haunted house. They are trying to not have secrets exposed although they find that challenging when something or someone is watching their every move from inside their house.

Here it is, the third chapter of my new story. It’s called Unimaginable Treasure. Please know, that I will never judge anyone from holding on certain things. So there’s no need to feel embarrassed about it. We are all humans, and we are doing our best. I am not one to judge or express shame among anyone. Please feel free to provide me with any feedback. I will be posting a chapter every Wednesday. Although I am a bit late with posting this week. I apologize for that I was just thinking about what I should write next. I can’t wait to start writing chapter three of this story. I hope you like it.

Chapter Three

After Ben had dropped Sophie off at her house from donating their winter accessories to the homeless people. She walked up to her room, and realized that her room was too cluttered, despite giving away some of her things. She came to the realization that she was just like her Grandma, Mary. She had kept things that she no longer needed to keep. She didn’t need to hold on to three of her Grandma’s tea collection to hold on to her memories of her Grandma. She only needed to keep one set. She decided to keep the rose set, which is the collection her Grandma used whenever she visited her.

Sophie knew that Lisa admired the blue porcelain set, so she figured she would give that to her the next time she saw her. As for the teddy bear collection. She figured a little girl would be able to make memories with her grandma, the same way Sophie has memories of her Grandma.

Sophie later learned that she didn’t need to keep a bunch of Grandma’s belongings to remind herself of Mary. Sophie knew that her Grandma lived in her heart.

She became inspired that she had asked if her parents can help her declutter their whole house. She even called her cousin and asked if they go through their house, donating various items.

She has been encouraging her friends to participate in their school’s donation drive. A few days she had talked it over with her principal, Mr. Johnson, if she can be in charge of the donations. She was planning on giving them to various shelters. Shelters that helped the homeless, men and women who have recently left abusive relationships and didn’t have much of anything since they left in a hurry. Depending on how many people, she would donate some things to thrift and second hand stores.

Mr. Johnson said she could make an announcement on the P.A. system during their morning announcement on Monday. She was so excited that she had began writing her speech.

Meanwhile Lisa is asking her mom if there are any duplicate items in their kitchen. Her mom then joins her with donating some of the things she no longer uses. Lisa’s mom is very proud of Sophie for organizing this event to help others.

Ben is in the garage with his Dad and he is asking if there are any items that they no longer need anymore.

Monday morning rolls around. Sophie is in the principal’s office with her cue cards waiting for her turn to speak during the morning announcements. When it comes her turn, she clears her throat, and grabs the micrphone.

“Hey there, everyone. My name is Sophie and I’m in the twelfth grade. I have decided that this is the perfect time for us to go through our belongings. Carefully examining if we still use these items, if we have duplicates of them, if they genuinely add happiness to our lives. And whatever we no longer use can be brought in to be donated. There will be a few boxes in front of the principal office which is where we will place our donations. You can donate anything to clothes, kitchen ware, books, games, and any hygiene products. I will then organize everything, and send them to various locations such as shelters that will help out homeless people, people who have left abusive relationships and don’t have much. There’s no better time than right now, since the weather is getting colder, and there are so many people that are in need. We can add some cheer to people’s hearts. We will be accepting donations until next Friday. Thank you so much. Have a great day!” Sophie explained, as she handed the microphone back to the principal.

Sophie was very eager to partake in this challenge. She hoped that everyone donated at least 10 items. She figured she would be spend an hour after school with her friends organizing everything. But as long as she was with her friends, she didn’t seem to mind. She also loved the idea of being able to help others. From a young age, Sophie enjoyed helping others.

Day 149 of 193

I have a lot of lip balms I no longer use, mostly because of how old these are. When you are starting your decluttering mission, it is best to start with items that you won’t miss, like expired make up, medication, etc.

Then once you have gained the strength and confidence, you can start tackling items that hold a bit more value to you, like clothes.

Whenever you start a big, new task, it’s always best to start small, and to always celebrate your accomplishments along the way.

Your Garden

What you spend thinking and fantasizing about eventually becomes your destiny. But until it becomes your destiny, your thoughts turn into a garden. This powerful garden that becomes you. You can either have a garden of lush flowers, or a bunch of neglected weeds. When you spend time belittling yourself, or putting yourself down, instead of focusing on what makes you awesome, your garden will be a jungle of weeds. These weeds will destroy the beautiful flowers that have been sprouting.

It takes the same amount of energy and thought process to talk bad and belittle yourself, as it would to talk greatness about yourself. So why waste that energy hurting yourself, when you can use that energy to think wonderfully about yourself.

You are stronger than your worst thoughts. There is no reason to succumb to your inner dialogue. You have the power to overcome these thoughts and be truly grateful with who you are. Go forth and build your most beautiful garden.

Day 143 of 193

This is Thursday’s item.

I have also came across this bag. I was planning on purchasing a glass penguin figurine for my aunt for Christmas since she loves penguins. Unfortunately, my dad’s side has decided a few weeks ago that we were going to postpone celebrating Christmas. Which I don’t mind, although I do miss spending time with my dad’s side of the family. We have cancelled everything this year. They have restrictions at the retirement that my Grandpa is living at. It is sad, but at least I know everyone is safe.

So, until I can see my aunt, I was planning on just holding on to this for the time being. It’s a really cute bag/

Forever Grateful

On Thursday, when I was on my way to baby sit my niece, I received this notification, which I have been secretly waiting for. The notification of reaching 500 followers. It is an amazing feeling knowing that I have inspired so many people.

I felt so much gratitude and love. Thank you so much for those of you who like, comment my posts. Your kind words mean more than you know.

I hope everyone will still continue to bless me and support this wonderful blog. Thank you once again!

Mini Absence

Hey everyone! I apologize for taking a small break, but I appreciate the love, and kind words.

On Thursday, I baby sat my niece, while my sister had an appointment. Then we got to hang out for the whole day, with my niece which is always fun. My mom got to come over at work. My boyfriend works with my sister’s boyfriend, so he got to hang out with us as well.

On Friday, I was just catching up on some sleep. I ended up having an ear infection, so I kept on waking up throughout the night. I spent the day watching TV, trying to take my mind off my ear infection. I had to make myself some of immune boosting teas.T My boyfriend and I spent the evening hanging out, and just relaxing. We watched a movie together.

We watched our shows on Saturday. it was another relaxing day. We even had take out, so we can just enjoy each other’s company even more.

I made time for reading some of my books, which is always fun.

Minus the ear infection it was fairly relaxing four days. I’m feeling a bit better.

WWW Wednesdays – November 11th, 2020

This is a post where I talk all about books by answering the following questions… Although I have had another busy week, so I have only finished one of the books I am currently reading.

  1. What have I finished reading?
  2. What am I currently reading?
  3. What will I be reading next?
  1. What have I finished reading?

This book was a really great book. It was quite spooky, this gave me goosepimples. I heard that Netflix is going to be making this book into a movie sometime . It is said to be filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. I am so excited to watch the movie!

This book is about gruesome murders where the graduating class of the local high school are being targeted. Everyone in the school has secrets, so it’s only a matter of time before their secrets become exposed.

My rating: 4 out of 5 stars.

2. What am I currently reading?

My boyfriend and I are still reading this book. It’s a really lengthy, but it is a really good book.

And

I can’t wait to start this book, I’ve heard many great things about it.

3. What will I reading next?

This is another horror book I’m excited for, as well.

I loved to know what books everyone is reading. Let me know in the comments.

Day 142 of 193

I remember the days my sister and I used to go shopping every so often. Those days were always the best. I love spending time with my sister.

We haven’t been shopping in a long time, but that’s okay. I’m kind of done clothes shopping for myself. At least at the moment, because I am content with the majority of my clothes right now. Although I still have a couple of clothes I need to go through and donate.

This was a sweater my sister had bought me on one of these hang outs. When it still fit me, my arms and torso grew longer since then, but this used to be my favourite sweater ever. I loved how bright it was. At the time, pink was my favourite colour, but now I love yellow. Even though I don’t have a yellow sweater, but that’s okay.
