Thankful Thursdays #22

If you’re celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend, what a perfect way to spend time truly thinking about you’re grateful for.

Every week I round up and think about what I am thankful for. I encourage everyone to do this activity.

Here is my list.

  1. I’m thankful for catching up with a friend I haven’t spoken to in a little while. I’m glad he is doing well.
  2. My boyfriend brought me my container from my sister’s house. I am currently going through at the moment. I’ve been trying to go through my things. It is a freeing and exciting project. Not only is it allowing me to find a home for these items, but it is also a great feeling knowing that I am helping others by donating things I no longer use or need anymore.
  3. My boyfriend and I did some decorating around our room. We hung up my lights. It is over my vision board. I think it is really pretty. I shared a photo below. It says, “Easy Does It”, it reminds when I have a lot going on, I remind myself to take things slowly, even if it is just one thing at a time.
  4. I was able to go out for more walks this week, although that may be why my back is a bit sore, but slowly getting better.
  5. I got to watch two football games yesterday, which was fun, although those games were a blow out, but still entertaining. When I watched the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign Performance during the halftime show between the Dallas and Washington football, I came across a new singer, Kane Brown. The Salvation Army accepts donations to help out those less fortunate. I really enjoyed his music performance.

Thankful Thursdays #21

I feel that this has been a wonderful week, and I am thankful for the events that have happened.

I hope you spend some time, thinking and expressing gratitude for the things that has happened this week.

  1. I have had time to have readathons throughout the week. That is where I have been able to finish some of my books.
  2. I spent the majority of Monday cleaning and tidying my room. Cleaning always helps me feel better, and more relaxed.
  3. Yesterday my boyfriend and I watched a romantic movie together. We watched The Longest Ride, again. I was inspired by writing about it in my blog on Tuesday. It’s such a great movie. It’s one of my favourite Nicholas Sparks movie and book.
  4. I found my favourite chocolate bar in my snack box, I thought I had ate it a few weeks ago. I found it at the perfect time since that was our mini snack for the movie.
  5. Got my inspiration to finish what appears to be a neglected story right now. I felt uninspired to write it. It’s called Unimaginable Treasure. It’s about the importance and benefits of decluttering. So I apologize for those that have been patiently waiting for chapter three. In the meantime, you can catch up, or read it for the first time, here https://threeyellowdaisies.ca/category/unimaginable-treasure/ I appreciate any feedback, if you have any. 🙂

Thankful Thursday #20

This is one of my favourite posts to write because I get to talk about what I am thankful for during this week. I hope you find something you are grateful for, as well.

It is really important and beneficial to spend some time thinking of what you are truly thankful for.

  1. As I previously written, I am extremely grateful for all of my followers and supporters. I have surpassed a huge milestone of 500 followers. It is a wonderful feeling. I am proud of myself.
  2. I got to hang out with my niece, sister, and my mom for a bit. It was a lot of fun. We took my niece to the park since we had a nice sunny day. My niece had a lot of fun.
  3. I got to spend a lot of time to relax throughout the week by reading, and watching my shows.
  4. I am grateful to have some nice weather earlier in the week. It made it great to walk around my neighbourhood.
  5. I am grateful for being able to spend a lot of time with my boyfriend, just being able to relax and not think about any stress.

Thankful Thursday #19

Hey everyone! Welcome to another edition of Thankful Thursday!

This is where I round up all of the things I am thankful for throughout the week. I encourage you all to take a few minutes, to really think about what you are grateful during this this week.

  1. My boyfriend and I spent a lot of time over the weekend watching horror movies, and football. Which are two of my favourite things to watch.
  2. I got to babysit my niece while my sister got her hair done.
  3. These past few days, and the upcoming weekend is going to be beautiful – nice and warm. Normally we are experiencing cool, cloudy days, so these are great days to enjoy outside before the snow comes.
  4. I’m glad my boyfriend is feeling better, the past two days he wasn’t feeling well, none of which are covid-19 symptoms related.
  5. Because he wasn’t feeling well, he didn’t go to work, which gave us some extra time to hang out. I got to take care of him.

I would love to know what everyone is thankful for.

What are you thankful for this week?

Thankful Thursdays #17

I love writing this post because I express my gratitude for the things that I am thankful for. I hope I encourage others to write about the things you are grateful for throughout the week. If you are pressed for time, at least think about the things you are happy for. I feel like it’s really important to express your gratitude and share it with others.

Here is my list…

  1. Seeing my Grandparents for the first time since my birthday back in June (of this year). We had afternoon tea and we had dinner together. We had porkchops, with asparagus and oven roasted potatoes. It was delicious.
  2. Since I was seeing my Grandma, I was able to pass along the clothes I no longer wanted or needed. It cleared up some space in my room. That’s always a good thing.
  3. I’m grateful that all of my clothes are going to help someone. She also told me that she was going to give them to her friend’s granddaughter. That’s always nice. I’m really glad.
  4. I got a book to borrow a book from my Grandma, which is on my To Be Read List. My books are available at the library, so I’m really excited to pick them up, and start reading them.
  5. My boyfriend and I went to a store and bought more tea over the weekend.

Thankful Thursdays #15

I’m posting this a day late, but that’s okay.

This is where I gather up and talk about what I am thankful for throughout the week.

  1. I am grateful that I have lots of time to read. I find it really relaxing and fun.
  2. I am thankful that my decluttering mission has inspired me to write a story. I am extremely happy for myself.
  3. I tried a new recipe, and it was amazing! I will definitely be making it again. I made French Onion Pork Chops. Recipe to follow.
  4. I’m thankful that my boyfriend and I got to celebrate Mad Hatter Day by watching Alice in Wonderland (1951) movie. To be honest, I have only seen the Tim Burton’s remake. I really enjoyed watching that film
  5. My boyfriend and I had a midnight take out, which is always fun. We don’t get to do that a lot, so it was a nice splurge.

Thankful Thursdays #14

It’s another Thursday, which means I talk about the things that I am thankful for.

To be honest, this week seemed to be a bit of a challenge to list the things I am grateful for. I faced many challenges this week, last Thursday I sprained my ankle, and today I learnt that my team, Pittsburgh Steelers won’t be playing during their Sunday game because the team they were originally scheduled to play is dealing with a coronavirus outbreak, and because of this I wouldn’t be able to hang out with my cousin watching some football, to name a few.

  1. Not to sound like I am complaining about what I had wrote, but even though I won’t be able to see my team or my cousin this weekend. I am glad that the NFL is protecting the virus from spreading even more.
  2. My ankle is healing and I am able to put weight on it.
  3. I have received another container of my belongings so I can start sorting through my stuff and be able to live with less stuff.
  4. I had dinner with my boyfriend, my sister, her boyfriend and my niece. That was nice. We also took my niece to the park earlier.
  5. My sleepy tea to help me fall asleep and wash away the day. I have been feeling stressed out as of lately. But I like to think that things will work out eventually. And all of these struggles will all be worthwhile.

What are some of the things you are thankful for this week?

Thankful Thursdays #13

I can’t believe I have been posting this for the past 13 weeks now.

This is where I mention all that I am grateful for throughout the week. It is really therapeutic feeling to discuss what you are thankful for.

  1. I got my best friend’s new address, and his birthday is approaching. So I am going to be mailing him a card. I am really excited about that.
  2. I am somewhat glad, even with my acute ankle injury, as it will remind me to slow down. It gives me time to keep up with my blog posts, reading, and to make a bullet journal for October. I am really excited to make one, I haven’t made one before.
  3. My mama buying me dinner tonight, that was nice.
  4. Despite it being Autumn, according to the calendar, I have been having a lot of nice weather — hot and sunny days.
  5. Buying and trying a new tea over the weekend, that was a lot of fun. It was the first time in a long time since my boyfriend and I went to the mall.

What are some of the things you are thankful for this week?

Thankful Thursdays #12

Hey everyone!

It always feel like these days keep on going by so fast.

Here is a list of things that has happened to me throughout the week that has made me grateful.

  1. I am thankful that my football team won against my second cousin’s team. Not only did I get to brag about my team winning, but I also got bragging towards her for beating her team
  2. I am grateful that there were many great sales at the grocery store. I not only saved a lot of money, but I was able to buy delicious ingredients for my dinners.
  3. My sister bought me a few groceries when she was doing her own shopping, so that was cool.
  4. I am glad my mom gave me two of her French onion soup bowls. They are oven safe. You are supposed to serve the soup in these bowls, and grate cheese on top of the soup, then you broil it in the oven, and all of the cheese melts perfectly. I can’t wait to use those.
  5. And lastly I am grateful for being able to spend more time throughout my day reading my books.
