Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
The rules are simple: Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
This week’s topic is Non-Bookish Hobbies. This post is to help us get to know each other. The list of hobbies should not be books or reading related.
- Cooking
- Watching movies and TV shows
- Listening to music
- Travelling
- Playing games on my phone
- Hanging out with family and friends
- Practicing yoga
- Making scrapbooks, and other art projects (painting, colouring, etc.)
- Relearning French
- Studying astrology and Tarot cards
I would love to read all about your hobbies in the comments. 🙂
I just fell upon your post here, and then stumbled onto your site, curiously. Your site title had me wanting to know more. I love that.
I have a thing for lists, books, and much more- as well! Always have, I hopefully always will.
So I took it upon myself to definitely follow you. Its not everyday we come across something that feels like you could have written that yourself because it just seems to resonate for you. I am greatful to have found your page.
With that being said-
Here is my #TopTenTuesday Post
(Comment)- to be exact.
Topic: Non Bookish Hobbies
This is already harder than I thought it would be haha.
1. I love to paint- Acrylic paintings, Oil Paintings, all the way to painting houses (remodeling) and up-doing furniture
2. Listening to music- There is just something about music that just makes my soul HAPPY.. it speaks the words I cant find to say.
3. Writing poetry- Although this happens for me at the most random times. A sentence or two will come to mind and I know I have to write it down OR ELSE.. I cant take time to think about it though. It has to come out naturally, or else it just doesn’t make sense.
4. Writing in general- I am a paper and pen type of girl. I carry them with me everywhere. This is a daily thing for me. I write down my to-do lists, master to-do lists, my list of lists, it all boils down to being some kind of a list i suppose. Keeping track of my daily things.
5. Go on random adventures every few months or so. I will hop in the car with whatever i can fit in it and just leave. To wherever my little big heart feels like going. And often, I tend to stay gone for about a month or so. Usually these endeavors are cross state lines and I go on a whim.
6. Thrift shopping, yard selling, antiquing- You name it! I hate to admit this (but then again I don’t). I am always looking for a bargain deal on some supplies to craft, or up-do, or write and do business with, it really doesn’t matter for me. I just love finding new things that I can re-create.
7. Working- But on my own schedule. For example: I will gladly do your yard work, house work, tending needs, etc. And will do the job with the utmost perfectionism that I can. Because I am a perfectionist. Needless to say, the job will be far more than well done. I have a wide variety of work ethics.
8. Volunteering- This ties in to my 7th hobby although its more or less… If you ask me help or I see you need some help. I will also, glady take however much time you need to help you get the job done. The variety of tasks for this is far. To say the least. From book work to organizing, moving, and so much more.
9. Remodel- Interior design, landscaping, gardening, organizing. All of the above.
10. Spending time with my kids, my nephews and neices, I don’t care who you are I just Love kids. They have the most beautiful souls and they are so fun to be around. The topics and activities are endless here as well. From Simon says, to neighborhood water fights and baking cupcakes or fundraising!

This is amazing! I am so glad that you came across my site. I appreciate your kind words.
I loved reading your list. I can relate to your hobbies, too. Although I’m not the best painter, I still try anyway. I enjoy writing. In fact, I would love to get published, one day. I love organizing things. I like when everything has a spot in my house.
I enjoy happy and positive music, too. In fact, I recommend that you check out threeyellowdaisies.ca/category/music-mondays/ Every Monday, I post songs that make us happy, or inspire us, and make us stronger. You might like these songs. I’m not sure, but you should definitely check it out.
Feel free to stop by, anytime to read more posts. I’ll do the same. It’s really nice getting to know you. Get in touch. 🙂
