Day 87 of 193

For today’s item, I found yet another hairbrush. Although this was dirtier than the previous one.

I don’t know why I bothered to carry these things with me to house to house that I have move into. It is a waste of space and energy. But I am glad that this is the last time I would need to carry unnecessary things again. I am trying to be more mindful of what I bring into my house and what I buy.

It is so good to see you are decluttering your “once used” things and keeping a record of it. I never thought of doing it this way.
I too have n number of trivial things with me since childhood and I just don’t want them to be thrown away or to be given away to somebody else. Clothes for that matter, I don’t mind and most of them have given off but rest small things like barbie dolls (although mostly not in a good condition😅,) story books, stones I collected and blah blah blah, I am reluctant to say goodbye to them.
They are just kept like that at my mother’s place.
I like your idea of decluttering 💖😊

Awe, thank you so much! I appreciate your positive words! 😊❤

Yes, I am the same because I still have a lot of my toys, and some really cool shirts from I was a child. I used to be a big time collector of stuffed animals and Barbies.

I might just give those things to my nieces, maybe, I haven’t really thought that far yet. I’m saving all of the sentimental items last. Right now I’m just trying to declutter the other bits of my life right now. I have gotten rid of small accessories to my Barbies like their cars, and restaurants, etc.

But if you don’t wish to depart with these belongings, that’s okay. The objective is to get rid of things that you doesn’t add joy, to make room for the things that do. It isn’t about trying to only live with an x number of items. Don’t feel bad about not wanting to give away your belongings.

But if you ever do, maybe you can donate them to a hospital. Although it doesn’t seem like they would be accepting any toys right now because of covid, but maybe they will soon.

I figure if I document my decluttering journey, then maybe I can inspire others to take part on this liberating project. It really is life changing.

I hope my words helped and inspired you. It’s really nice talking to you. Keep in touch.😊❤

Reading your post, I am actually convinced and hope in the future when I will visit my place I will declutter my “not so important things” which are just occupants but bringing no joy. I like that notion of yours.
Thanks for sharing. Love your write ups. Sure, will do keep in touch. ❤️🤗
